I’m Dr. Eric Kao. I studied exercise science at the University of South Carolina and then got my doctorate in physical therapy at Western Carolina University. I became certified in hypnosis by the NGH a year or two later in the pursuit of my belief that mind and body cannot be separated. My education, experience and training have led me down many different roads like presenting on the usage of hypnosis in the field of physical therapy to the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. I’ve helped conduct research in both the fields of exercise physiology and physical rehabilitation. I’ve studied motivational interviewing, provocative coaching, powerlifting, Ericksonian hypnosis, kettlebell training, myofascial release and just about anything else involving the mind-body.
